Faith forward
Forward Faith
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
— Hebrews 11:1
Reflection
Too often, we confuse faith with performance.
We confuse believing in God with believing He actually wants to bless us.
And as a result, we live trapped between two false versions of faith.
Some of us live in the past — stuck in guilt, shame, and regret.
We call it humility, but it's actually bondage.
Others of us live in the future — anxiously waiting for the next bad thing to happen.
We call it being "prepared," but it’s really just fear dressed up like wisdom.
Neither is faith.
Faith isn't about dragging the weight of yesterday or dreading the fall of tomorrow.
Faith is now.
Faith is today.
Faith is a choice to believe God is good, and He's good to you — right now.
And yet... most of us don't live like that.
We talk faith.
We post verses.
We say, "God's got me!" —
But inside, we don’t feel worthy of His love, so we hustle to earn what’s already free.
We hide.
We clean.
We overwork, overeat, overcommit.
We do anything to distract ourselves from one nagging thought:
"God might love people... but could He really love me?"
And if you’ve ever felt that — here’s truth:
Yes, He loves you. As you are. Not as you perform.
The Root Issue
When you don’t believe you’re worthy of love, you won’t receive love.
Even from God.
This false belief keeps you bound.
And it gives the enemy a foothold in your heart — through guilt, shame, condemnation, insecurity, distraction, perfectionism, and fear.
But God’s not waiting on you to fix yourself.
He’s waiting on you to believe Him.
He already knows every scar, every mistake, every bad habit.
And still — He wants you.
Not just your service. Not just your church attendance. You.
Want to Move Forward? Here’s the Shift:
Repent for agreeing with the lie that you’re unworthy.
You’ve been living from a false identity. Let it go.Forgive yourself for the things you’ve been holding against you.
If God has already forgiven you, who are you to hold it longer?Ask God to cleanse you from every lie, every attachment, every spiritual stronghold that guilt and shame brought with it.
Then rebuke the enemy’s voice. You're not listening anymore.Walk it out.
Not just with your lips — with your life.
Start living like you actually believe God is with you, in you, and for you.
Prayer
Father,
I’ve been living in shadows — haunted by my past or afraid of my future.
I repent for believing the lie that I’m unworthy of Your love.
I repent for agreeing with shame, fear, guilt, and condemnation.
I forgive myself for what You’ve already forgiven.
I ask You now — wash me clean. Silence the voice of the enemy.
I receive Your truth:
I am Yours.
I am loved.
I am chosen.
And I am enough — not because of what I do, but because of who You are.
Today, I choose to walk in forward faith.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Faith in Action
This week, when guilt or fear tries to sneak in, speak this out loud:
“I’m not going back.
I’m not jumping ahead.
I’m moving forward — by faith.”
