God never hurries
God Always Confirms
So many times in my life, I’ve run ahead of God—trying to fix or control situations, thinking I was doing the right thing, even believing I had heard from Him. But the truth is, God never hurries, and He always confirms His word.
Yes, there are moments when immediate obedience is required—a quick “yes” in faith. But more often than not, God nudges us and then sends confirmation, usually more than once, especially when we ask Him to. He’s faithful like that.
When I’ve rushed ahead in my own strength, even with good intentions, I’ve often found myself exhausted, confused, or needing to backpedal. It’s not that God didn’t give the word—it’s that I forgot to sit with Him long enough to get the full set of instructions.
This week, I had the honor of a deep encounter with God. In this moment, He handed me a vision—blessings wrapped in silver and gold, presented on a platter. At first, it felt strange to receive such things. I wasn’t sure how to process it. I’m still unpacking it, honestly. But I trust Him, and I know He will reveal the fullness in time.
And in true "Daddy" style, He sent a confirmation.
Yesterday, I opened the mail to find some “happy mail,” as my beautiful friend called it. She sent me a thoughtful gift—a handwritten note, a small token, and a book. I was so touched that I nearly cried. But in typical me fashion, I didn’t take the time to really absorb what the book was… until later that evening.
As I walked by the book again, the Holy Spirit whispered, “What’s the name of that book?”
I stopped. Looked.
“The Bible Promise Book.”
I smiled. Because when God handed me the silver and gold in my vision, He said it represented all the blessings and promises in His Word.
You just can’t make this stuff up.
God winked. He confirmed. And He reminded me—He really does love me, just as I am.
Scripture for Reflection:
“The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.”
—Psalm 37:23 (NLT)
Reflection Prompt:
Have you asked God for confirmation lately? Are you waiting on clarity, or rushing ahead? Take time today to sit quietly and ask Him to confirm the path He’s set before you.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for loving me so personally. Thank You for being a God who speaks, who leads, and who confirms. Help me to slow down, to trust Your timing, and to recognize Your gentle nudges and affirmations. Remind me that Your promises are for me—and they are always worth the wait. Amen.
